Back to Galvin Park in what will be tight contests with Corio and we need another win desperately to keep in contact with the top of the ladder teams.
Last week against Inverleigh it was a mixed bag with the senior footy having their first win but the Reserves still unable to put four quarters together. Our netballers all played well and except for the U 17s who just missed out all had strong wins against a very competitive Inverleigh.
Our President has reminded us of the Trivia Night 19 May 2012 compulsory. Please get around to businesses for Auction items and prizes for the night, letters are available from the club.
Thank you to the Senior Coach and all Senior Players who returned to the Racecourse for meals and drinks after the game. Some regular Reserves players, our Trainers and supporters were also present. Thank you to David Leatch for driving the bus especially on the return journey after playing a full game. It would be nice to see a few more Reserves players and Netballers back to the Racecourse after an away game to celebrate together and to bring together all of the club.
Thank you to Michael Woollard for Umpiring the Reserves game and doing a great job. Also a great job done by Craig Hardingham Acting Senior Team Manager in the absence of Michael O'Malley.
Pleasing to see players who were injured or not selected continue to turn up and assist with running water, or boundary umpire in all grades. This will be remembered especially on Thursday night selection..
The season is really underway and its time for all to get to games early to see your mates playing and then to also stay after your game until the end of the day to remain together as a club. Netballers and footballers alike.
Our major raffle will be commencing this week so please ensure you get a book of tickets off David Leatch or a committee person to sell, only $2.00 and great prizes. Netballers and U 18s will need to see their team managers. The more sold the better off we all will be. Also the Tattslotto Mega Draw club system is on again so see Hards or Mick O'Malley and join up and get a share. You do not want to see your mates winning without you..Do You....
Remember to purchase a membership ticket as it gets you into every game of the season except for finals. Also allows you to obtain a Italian Sports Club membership as well as a Buckleys membership. See one of your committee for assistance.
Saturday after the game there is not an official event so please ensure you stay back as per your players handbook to hear awards done at 6.00pm. This includes the Reserves and the netballers. There is a Club Social Calender this year so get a copy and hang it somewhere to remind you what's on. Its also on the website for download. Remember the Bush Dance on 30th June, will be a night to remember and something different. Put it on your calendar.
