Werribee Centrals Netballers had a clean sweep against a very competitive club in East Geelong on the weekend. This round of matches was always going to be tough as East needed to win in a few grades to maintain their ladder positions for the finals..
A Grade
Werribee Centrals 48 vs.. East Geelong 24
Slow and steady start from Centrals A Grade. Going into the second quarter Centrals adapted to the game and played some smart skilful netball. Centrals took out the second quarter with ease and this set them up for the game. Centrals A grade did not drop their intensity all game with Emma Maycock providing plenty of drives and options and well backed up by Mickayla Ward. Centrals players worked
hard for each other and proved they are a top ranked side.

B Grade
Werribee Centrals 27 v. East Geelong 24
Slow Start from Centrals B Grade but the intensity lifted in the 2nd quarter with all players on the court stepping up a notch. Rennee Digiocchino & Amanda Nielson worked well together in goals with both creating good leads.
Renee shot well this week shooting 18 of the 27 goals with plenty of back up from mid court. Maria Masei again played a fantastic game backed up well by Brooke Short.

C Grade
Werribee Centrals 29 v. East Geelong 24
Centrals knew this week would be tough against East Geelong and knew they would have to come out with all guns blazing. Lauren Jessup stepped up from the D Grade and combined well with Kimberley Genge in the goal circle. Centrals defence worked hard all game. Centrals kept up the momentum for the four quarters and it was great to come away with the win.

D Grade
Werribee Centrals 35 v. East Geelong 26
In a must win game against second on the ladder East Geelong Centrals D Grade started strongly from the first whistle with neither team giving an inch. With some great goaling by Emma Hounsel & Lauren Jessup and down the other end of the court some strong defensive pressure enabled Centrals to pull away by half time. Centrals toughed it out to the end to take away a well deserved four points.

U17's
Werribee Centrals 27 v. East Geelong 10
Centrals came into the game against East Geelong knowing it was going to be a tough game. Centrals had a strong start but going into the second quarter they stopped driving forward and made some passing errors in the attacking end which allowed East to come back. With a couple of positional changes made Centrals U17's came back strongly in the third quarter to take the lead again
with defensive pressure by Maria Masei and Bethany Lipscombe. Centrals kept East Geelong to a minimum over the lat half of the game. Tayla Smith was one of Centrals stand-outs having a great game in goals again this week.

U15's
Werribee Centrals 38 v. East Geelong 10
Once again Centrals continue to have a great game with all players putting in 100%. Amber Smith & Meg Noonan shot well both sharing the goal scoring. Tylah Hickey was also another standout with her defensive pressure over East. Another great win for Centrals.

This week Centrals travel to Inverleigh who are another finals aspirant club and these games will be no easier than this weeks round of matches.
