The complete first round of matches are behind us and we are back to playing North Geelong who gave us a real battle in round one and this will be no easier. To be 10 - 1 at this time of the season is a credit to the senior players, but now is the tough track home to ensure all the hard work of the first half is not wasted. This is the same for the Reserves and all the Netballer teams who all have had a tremendous starts to the season. From a football perspective the last few weeks have been tough with so many players out and we must thank those that have stepped up to make sure we have full teams on Saturdays. Thanks Barney Brunato, Heath Buck, Dean Taylor, Nick Gilham, Jeremy Barnes, even the coaches, runners, selectors and stats people who have pulled on a jumper. You all know who you are and thanks. Next Saturday it will be Past Players Day in our game at home against Thomson. So please ensure all our past players are aware of this date.
It will also Be Our Cancer Call to Arms Day so please be prepared to wear a yellow armband or some other recognition and make a donation in one of the collection tins. We have been good supporters of this day in the past and should be again.
Remember its back to the Racecourse after the game and everyone is reminded that we must mix with the North Geelong people after the game. Please everyone make an effort and make the time to have a social chat after the game at our sponsors.
Membership Tickets are available from any of the committee, just ask. Full Non Playing membership is $50- and concession is $35-. This also gives you membership of the Italian Sports Club if you so desire. So please ask.
The Ball at the Racecourse on 10th July is our next major event so make sure everyone has at least two tickets to make this a success which we need it to be. Netballers see Ellie Tubbs and footballers get yours off Rick Alagona or Chris Kelly. For all your club news and events just visit the clubs website at www.werribeecentrasfc.vcfl.com.au . This will keep you up to date with what's happening around your club and make sure you do not miss anything.
Tickets for the major raffle are now available so also ensure you receive a book to sell on behalf of the club. There is a great range of prizes for everyone.
To everyone who runs out this year for our great club hope you have had a enjoyable year as all we asked is for you to enjoy yourself, support your mates and your club and give your very best and be proud to wear the Green & Gold. Be a good Centurion.
