NEWTOWN & Chilwell will welcome back of a handful of key players for this afternoon’s mouth-watering match-up with the much-improved St Mary’s.
Nelson Browne will play his first game of 2016 after suffering a knee injury in the practice match against St Albans on April 2, while Ash and Jarrod McCorkell, Timm House and Nathan Braddock have all been named.
However, they are still missing names like captain Dan Feery, Tim O’Keefe, Luke Forbes, Jordan Crerar, Luke Kermond, Tim Brown and Tim Horan.
O’Keefe, Forbes, Kermond and Brown are all likely to return for the Round 7 meeting with grand final nemesis St Joseph’s on May 28.
“We’re starting to drip feed them back,” coach Damien Christensen said.
