Leopold intensified the pressure on Colac and St Mary's for fifth spot with a 14 point come from behind victory against Newtown & Chilwell on Saturday.
With the wind at their backs they trumped the Eagles for spirit and willingness towards the contest inthe final term to keep their slim finals chances alive.
If Leopold were to make the finals, they would most likely face Newtown & Chilwell so it was good for a confident boost.
Newtown & Chilwell coach Jacob Spolding wasn't fazed with the fact his side's past two outings have resulted in two fadeouts.
"It just comes bact to effort and willingness. Leopold showed they wanted to win more than we did which is disappointing." Spolding said.
After letting Joey's runaway last week, the Eagles managed just two goals in the final term against a stiff breeze Spolding said had next to no impact on the game.
Danny Gray and under 18 captain Jackson Kelly were handed debuts for the Eagles on Saturday.
