It’s always a tough trip over the Snowy River and this time was no exception.
With a large number of our senior side missing for various reasons, the thirds boys put their hands up to play and did so with aplomb. Dalton, Gallus, Harrison, Guarnaccia and Dugins along with Zammit and Jesse Beha who are still eligible for thirds, all pulled on the boots and helped us to a five point win. Peggy was back to his usual form in and under the packs, busting his backside for the team while Josh Bouwman booted five for the second week in a row. Great final terms from Tataz and Dyno sealed the deal in what was a tough day at the office.
The twos were again undermanned and called on the Ox and Forry from the thirds to bolster numbers. As in the seniors, the thirds boys performed admirably with Bonox booting 5 and Blake doing a great job around the ground. Lovey was back and put in a solid display picking up plenty of the footy. Despite the result, the boys showed a lot of character as they build their side for finals footy.
The thirds won in a canter with the ‘Ayden Vogrig Show’ the highlight of the day. Vogo finished the game with an amazing 14 goals as the lads trounced OSR by 192 points. Mini Gallus had a day out while there were plenty of excellent contributors right across the field.
The netballers had wins in the A, B & D Grades this week with the best players voted as (A) Abbey Sproule & Rhomi Webb, (B) Mieka Pitt & Ebony Mahlook, (C) Julianne Webb & Teagan Hack, (C Res) Tahlia Sumner & Leanne Murray and (D) Michalla Radford & Nicki James.
Busy week this week with as we tackle Wy Yung with the Sponsors Lunch during the day followed by the Annual Trivia Night starting from 7pm. Again a huge thanks to our sponsors who are also keen supporters of our great club. The Trivia Night will be $10 per head with tables of 6 – 10. See Lowey for further details. Must win games across the board this week!
