The club has applied for funding to assist with the supply of fingerlings in 2015.
Available through the NSW Fisheries Department the grant will allow the club to double the amount of Cod fingerlings realeased into the Murray near the Nyah Boat Ramp area.
This year the club released appox 1600 Cod fingerlings upstream and down stream from the ramp.
Many of the competition entrants reported catching Cod around the 30 to 45 cm mark. This leads the club to believe that the restocking conducted over the past 5 years has helped to reenvigorate the local water.
