Comment
Graham Gunn is one of the most respected figures in the League. He spent many Saturday mornings as a volunteer umpire for the youngest players in the league before going on to play or umpire senior football in the afternoon.
He has a unique record as a Life Member of Reynella and Morphett Vale. He has assisted with the Reynella 50 Years in SFL celebration (1988) and for Reynella’s 100 years of football. He has always made himself available to help either of the clubs whenever they seek his assistance and he has a great knowledge of League history from his era.
He also won a Mail Medal while playing at Peterborough with Towns club (1961)

Comments
Trevor Potts is arguably one of the most successful coaches in country and metropolitan football. He has achieved success in most areas where he has coached and his record of seven wins in the Southern League will be hard to beat. As well as his Southern League successes he has coached premierships in several other leagues and presented teams in many grand finals.
He has the reputation of being extremely thorough in his preparation for matches and player management as well as displaying great innovative skills and is a great motivator.

Comment
Baden Taylor came to Morphett Vale F C as a centre half back but found his niche as a powerful, strong marking forward.
He was a prolific goal kicker (653 goals) who topped the SFL Goal Kicking in 1979, 1980 and 1981 and exceeded 100 goals in each of these years. He holds the record of 159 goals (1980). His performance over his time at the club was a vital part of Morphett Vale’s four consecutive premierships during the late 70’s and early 80’s.
He was a prominent member of Southern League teams from 1974 to 1981 including wins 1n 1974, 1975, 1978 and 1901.
He was an immensely strong player remembered for his collision with a goal post at Le Messurier Oval at Murray Bridge during a Lovelock Shield Final; the goal post had to be replaced.
Baden Taylor and Scott Pollard have kicked 1456 goals and played in 9 premiership winning teams.

Comments:
Scott Pollard was a prolific forward who was leading goal kicker for his club on 10 occasions and kicked 124 in2007, 118 in 2008 and 125 in 2009. He was a vital part of the Morphett Vale Club’s run of 5 consecutive premierships. He represented the league in a win over the SA Amateur FL but unfortunately the SFL did not play many representative matches during Scott’s playing time so his chances to play at this level were restricted. He was SFL vice-captain in 2006.
He holds the SFL’s goal kicking record of 803 goals at an average of 4.5 goals per match.
He continues a tradition in his club as his father was a club captain who played in four premierships and also represented the SFL on many occasions.
Scott and Baden together have been the most successful goal kickers in the SFL with an aggregate of 1456 between them and they have played in 9 premierships during the club’s two golden periods.
