Our Club

Appin United Soccer Club was originally formed in 1975. Unfortunately, the club only survived one full season. Thankfully, a group of local players and their friends, reformed the club in 1984. The first President was Jack Lennard, Kaethe Baird was Secretary. Elizabeth Williams and Barbara Griffiths handled the publicity side of the club. As they had no clubhouse, the Principal of Appin Public School allowed them to hold the club meetings there.

In the clubs first year we had six teams. All Age 1st grade, All Age Reserves, Under 13's, Under 10's, Under 8's and Under 6's. In their first year returning to the league, Appin United Soccer Club had a lot of success. The All Age 1st grade team were Premiers defeating Picton in the grand final. The All Age reserves won the Southern Branch Amateur Cup.

Early sponsors of the club were Morrisons Dairy, Appin Hotel, Callavans Caravans, GIO, Minto Timber & Building Supplies and Appin Way Markets.

As the club continued to grow, a substantial amount of funds were raised to build our own clubhouse. Wollondilly Council came on board by agreeing to match the club dollar for dollar of funds raised. In 1990 local builder Ron Hunt was given the job to build the clubhouse.

In 2012 we had 6 senior teams and 3 junior teams. Our All Age Division 1 team are Minor Premiers and Champions. Our All Age Division 9 team are Minor Premiers for their division and for the first time in the clubs history, our All Age Ladies Division 3 team won their divisions Grand Final and was awarded the the Champions Trophy.

Today our sponsors include, Appin Bakery, Appin Hotel, Di Mez Real Estate, Meagan's Country Cuts, Dixon's Sports, Ingleburn Village Mowers & Power Tools and Sydney Truck & Machinery (STM).
