As part of the Bundaberg Celtics Youth Leadership & Development Program four of our members got to participate in the Billabong Girl’s Get Out There event which was held at Nielsen Park Beach.

The day involved getting lessons in surfing from Billabong professionals and Hip Hop dancing from Kat and Timomatic from So You Think You Can Dance.

Celtics event coordinator Blanche Alexander took along Ashleigh Frampton, Kira Broome-Johnson and Kahlia Illin who all had a great time.

“We attended this event to broaden the experience the girls have in surfing and dancing plus have a fun day.”

“We had a great day down at the bularm (beach) and it was a great bonding experience as well.” Blanche said

“The day also gave us a chance to get a Celtic uniform signed by Timomatic which we awarded as a prize for our own dance competition held at the PCYC.”

“Next year we will attend the event again and allow more of our members to experience this wonderful event.”
