A long term market gap has finally been closed with Cheltenham Senior (Rosella’s) and Cheltenham Juniors (Panthers) forming a strategic-alliance that will see both clubs thrive and encourage the movement of players from the junior Panthers to the senior Rosellas.
As both clubs operate at different grounds and in different councils they will maintain their individual identities and control of their own business affairs, but will come together to work on bigger picture issues such as sponsorship and marketing, sharing of relevant information & ideas and to fast track the development of players.
John Graham, President of Cheltenham Rosellas – “Gone are the days of a local sports club being a part time amateur venture. New options must be continually explored and introduced to remain competitive. Our club is dedicated in our drive for positive action that will bring about and enable a professional, well run, structured sporting club for the community. We look forward to continuing to work with the Panthers to assist them in the development of their junior players and then welcoming those players to the Rosellas.”

Our agreement with the Rosellas provides our juniors with a smoother transition to senior football within their local community. Our relationship with the Rosellas is as strong as ever and we look forward to working with them in other areas to continue to strengthen both clubs.
Both clubs recognised the vital roles they play in the local Cheltenham community. They felt duty-bound to implement this alliance and recognise the benefits in order to ensure that both clubs deliver the most beneficial and favourable service to their local community.
The clubs are already seeing the value of their alliance, securing Carlisle Homes as their first joint sponsor.
