The Varsity Vipers Basketball Club is one of Queensland’s fastest growing clubs with over 450 juniors and 35 junior teams competing successfully at all levels.
Our Saturday Skills program provides an entry-level pathway for children to gain fundamental skills in a family-oriented group training environment.
2016
Zone Sports becomes the official apparel provider of the Varsity Vipers.
2014
Storied former NBL player Scott McGregor joins the Vipers to start the Viperball program for 5 to 12-year-olds.
2013
The Varsity Vipers join the Premier League (Division 1) of the Basketball Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (BQJBC).
2011
The Varsity Vipers Basketball Club doubles in size with 15 junior teams entered in the GCBA JBL.
2010
The Varsity Vipers Basketball Club is incorporated and registered with the Gold Coast Basketball Association fielding 7 junior teams in the Junior Basketball League (JBL).
2008
Former NBL star Adam Darragh starts the Saturday Skills program at Varsity College. Elizabeth Albury takes on front-door and administrative responsibilities.
