Gavin De La Cruz Club President of Western Magic Doing Time for Youth Crime Fundraising Event
Across Australia, during National Youth Week (5th – 14th April), the PCYC will be running their yearly premier fundraising event Time4Kids.
I need your help to support this worthy cause, to raise as much money as possible for this event.
Background
Over the last 6 years I have volunteered at Inala PCYC supporting and running the community based basketball program. I am now very privileged to be part of a great cause in supporting Inala PCYC in raising money for our program to develop the local kids from the community in basketball. All donations directly donated to my account will be allocated to Western Magic Basketball Club.
Launch
The Time 4 Kids launch will be held during National Youth Week on
Thursday 11th April 2013 at Inala Civic Centre, between 9am and 1pm.
The event will see PCYC gaols [jails] set up where I will do time to stop youth crime.
The concept is to be detained in gaol until $500 bail has been raised to be released. I will be in gaol for about 60-90 minutes and have set myself a target to raise $2000. These funds will go towards Inala PCYC running youth crime prevention programs across Queensland.
The event will be high-profile and will attract strong media interest and community participation, with Channel 9 [Today show] as confirmed as media partners.
Large Corporate Donations will be placed on the Western Magic Website and Inala PCYC newsletter which is sent to over 4500 members.
Fundraising
To help me raise $2000 for Queensland’s young people, please donate through my very own website.
