North Brisbane Basketball assists in initiating planning for PCYC redevelopment

Following completion and updating of its Feasibility Study into the community needs for redevelopment of its premises, Hills-District PCYC has begun initial planning for the proposed redevelopment and North Brisbane Basketball President, Tom Coogan, has been able to assist.

Tom has facilitated an introduction to Architect Christian Skou and will sponsor architects fees for the master development plan and Development Approval.  At a meeting between Hills-District PCYC Committee members and relieving Branch Manager Paul Hodges, Christian was provided with details of the needs of the PCYC and its activities and requested a complete wishlist of requirements of all activities to include in the design of the master plan.

The final design is expected to result in a staged construction to minimise the impact on activities using the existing premises and a new multi disciplined facility containing two full size courts of basketball standard capable of staging major games and events.

This is the first step in delivering more of our coaches wishlist items - a new court and access to full court training.
