Dragons' Community members contribute to Brisbane U18 Capital's State Classics title win
Members of our Dragons' Community have made their contribution to the Brisbane Under 18 Capital's team state title win over the Gold Coast in the Qld State Classics on July 3. Current Dragon’s Under 18 Division 1 players Jeremy Kelly and Mitch West were members of the winning side.
Former Dragon’s President and Club Coach Neil Strudwick with assistance from former Dragon’s Junior Player and Club Coach Scott Richardson guided the team to their 7 point win. The lead in the game seesawed between the two teams throughout the game before Neil and Scott were able to motivate their team into a 14 to Nil streak in the last 90 seconds of the game to achieve the title win.
Despite injuries to key players (including Dragon Mitch West), the team was able to achieve the ultimate in success with an undefeated 23 game run culminating in the State title.
Dragon’s Club congratulate Jeremy & Mitch and Neil & Scott for their roles in the achievements of the Brisbane team.
