The contribution each of these Dragon’s Community members made to B.L.A.S.T.TM is significant in ensuring the success of our program. All of our Dragon’s Committee sincerely appreciate their contributions to our Dragons educating Dragons philosophy.

Dragons also thanks former President David Weale for his contribution in arranging Robert Sibley’s visit to B.L.A.S.T.TM in week 8.

Our B.L.A.S.T.TM program has been designed solely by Dragon’s and is unique to our Club. B.L.A.S.T.TM is making a significant contribution to the development of basketball at the lower age level within the Brisbane Basketball Club area including:

  • Close to 150 new players exposed to the game in 4 sessions of delivery;
  • Parents with knowledge of basketball and exposure to programs in other Clubs acknowledging they had never seen a program as good as B.L.A.S.T.TM 6eleven;
  • Our ability to motivate our Club players to volunteer to contribute to delivering the training when other programs struggle to provide paid program coaches;
  • Our Term 1 2010 program attracting far more participants than the program delivered by Brisbane Basketball;
  • Our ability to keep our participants active and interested for up to 20 hours of training and development compared to the 5 to 7 hours offered by other similar programs.

Dragons will again be running B.L.A.S.T.TM in Term 3 commencing July 10. Registrations are now being taken.  Contact Tom Coogan on Mob 0439 747 328, Work 3350 3599 or email blast@dragonsbasketball.asn.au.
