When does the winter football season start?

The 2024 season is scheduled to commence on Saturday 6 April 2024 for all ages and grades.

When and where are games played?

Games are generally played on Saturday mornings for MiniRoos (under 6 to under 11) and Saturday mornings and afternoons for Juniors and Seniors. Games can be any time from 8.00am until 3.00pm, but younger age groups tend to play earlier and seniors tend to play at either 1.00pm or 3.00pm.

Games are played in the Highlands from Hill Top and Yerrinbool in the north to Bundanoon in the South and Robertson in the east and various locations in between. Seniors also play in Gouburn and surrounds (subject to the HSA participation in the Southern Tablelands competition).

How long is the winter season?

The season runs from 6 April 2024 until the end of August for all age groups with finals (U13 to seniors) held in September. No games are played over the Easter weekend or the June long weekend for all ages and grades. 

What is the Mittagong Football Club uniform?

Our uniform comprises a green, yellow or white playing jersey, bottle green shorts and bottle green socks. All players will be given a pair of socks to keep at the commencement of the season, and a playing jersey will be loaned to you which must be returned in good condition at the end of the season. Bottle green Club logo shorts can be purchased from the club for $30 (order online at mittagong-football-club.square.site) or bottle green shorts sourced independently. We also sell winter jackets with our logo, perfect for those cold training afternoons and game days. Order online at mittagong-football-club.square.site.

When is training?

Training is generally held once a week for all teams on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoon or evenings. Our Meet The Coach event is scheduled for Saturday 16 March 2024where all registered MiniRoos and Junior players will be allocated to a team and meet their coach. This event will be an opportunity for parents to discuss available training days with your team’s coach. Players in senior teams will be contacted separately regarding teams and training.

How much does it cost to play?

If you have a school aged child that is eligible for a NSW Government Active Kids Voucher, apply for that before registering. You can input the Active Kids Voucher number into the payment screen of your registration to reduce your fees by $50.

How do I register to play?

Registrations are made online through www.playfootball.com.au and that site will be open until 29 February 2024. Registrations made after that date are by arrangement and at the discretion of the Club Registrar. See below for contact details.

I want my child to play with friends in a different age group and it won't let me register them in that age group

We do our best to accommodate requests for a child to play up an age group so that they are in a team with friends. Usually this is not a problem. However, you MUST register your child in their actual age group and when asked as part of the registration process enter the names of friends or coach who your child would like to play with. Requests to play below an age group are generally not supported unless there are extenuating circumstances. Similarly, requests to play up two age groups need to be assessed by the Club and the Highlands Soccer Association. If the latter two circumstances apply to your child, please email the Registrar immediately after registering (see email contact below).
