The Eagles (formally from Ashburton but based in Christchurch) have won the competition four times (2011,2012,2015 and 2020). We've also had a number of players make the New Zealand team over the last few years, including current Hawks captain Andy Howison. Or alternatively, during the season, come on down to Hagley Park around 12pm Saturday’s and ask for the Eagles. We normally start training seriously in June ahead of the start of the competition in late August (once rugby is out of the way).
