Come and Try Day a Success!

The Gungahlin Flames Basketball Club held a come and try day for interested 6-9yr olds to have a go at basketball and sign up to play in the clubs u10s teams that participate in Basketball ACTs competitions.

It was the Clubs first attempt at reaching out to the community to give back to the sport by starting up our Junior programs. The Club currently has 5 Seniors teams (men and women) competing across a few divisions. The Club aims to start with U10's Girls and Boys teams with visions to grow the club from there to a full contingent of Junior Basketball teams across all age groups.

Our senior playing group were out in force to lend a hand and couldn't have had any more fun coaching and playing with the kids.

A special thanks to all the parents who brought thier kids along - we hope they had as much fun as we did!

If your interested in getting your kids into Basketball don't hesitate to contact the club today for more information! U10s competitions begin in Term 4 of school. We cant wait to hear from you!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
