The FAFL Cup for Women kicks off in Melbourne on Saturday and many of our Women's players will be joining forces with Vipers & Magic players to play in the Macarthur Heart strip and take on the best Australia and New Zealand have to offer.

The tournament, which is endorsed by Nike, will be televised on futsaloz.tv and sees 2 pools of five teams competing to be crowned champions.  As well as the team from New Zealand all Eastern States will be represented bringing the best club players from the region together for the first time in many years.  The quality of the players and the standard of play we can expect in this tournament will put the Women’s game on the map.

Jimmy Gilligan will coach the Heart girls and will be ably assisted by his father, former Futsalroo Player and Coach Scott Gilligan and Erkin Osman, another former Futsalroo and current NSW Thunder Womens Coach.  Jeanette Donaghey will certainly not be missing the chance to travel to Melbourne to look after the girls as Manager.  The Heart players are:
