Quake Vs Vipers Match Reports

Quake Futsal

Summary of Results

Vs Mascot Vipers – Saturday 3rd December

Last Saturday, Quake visited Vipers and came away with a disappointing 3 wins and 5 losses from the 8 games played. Whilst a couple of results could have gone our way, in the end all credit must go to Mascot for a successful day.

The results were as follows:

12 boys – Quake 1 (Jackson O’Grady-Shorten) – Vipers 5

After such a great game the previous week, the absence of some personnel and some poor play meant a heavy defeat. The boys fought hard but could not match the better Vipers outfit.

12 girls – Quake 1 (Savanna Greenwood) – Vipers 4

This was a little closer than the scores suggest. However, in the end the more physical Vipers got the money.

14 boys – Quake 4 (Anthony Haddad 2, Yasser Al-Taay, OG) – Vipers 2

Finally the boys returned to the winner’s circle for a much needed 3 points which keeps them in 2nd spot in a very tight competition. Good game by Anthony highlighted by his double.

14 girls – Quake 4 (Ruby Mosca 2, Chrystal Duggan, Ashlee Norman) – Vipers 3

Another good win which gives them the share of the competition lead. Ruby Mosca was outstanding with a couple of clinical finishes in front of goals.

16 boys – Quake 3 (Matias Da Silva Santos 2, Bruno Antelmi) – Vipers 5

This team still leads the comp despite a surprise loss at the hands of Mascot. Lacking their usual flowing game, they lacked the finishing touch in front of goals.

16 girls – Quake 0 – Vipers 4

Once again the girls fought hard but with their small squad, it makes it hard work for the 14 girls to back up after a tough encounter. In the end a loss but a couple of wins could see them in the play-offs.

Youth - Quake 3 (Branden Ristevski, Jake McGing, Harley Da Silva) - Vipers 2

What an exciting game! Conceding early, the boys had to come from behind for a win which gives them third spot on the ladder. Leading by 2-1 late into the game, Vipers equalised with 2 minutes to go for what we thought was a share of the points. However, a minute later Harley Da Silva gave Quake the winner for a well deserved win.

Women – Quake 1 (Sam Muscat) – Vipers 2

This one was the opposite of the Youth Men. Having equalised with some 8 minutes to go, we thought we were heading for a draw.   However, with a minute to go, Vipers got the winner which takes Quake to 4th spot on the ladder.

Men – game postponed to Friday 9th December.
