Congratulations to all players,Coaches and Managers for being selected to represent Campbelltown City Quake in the upcoming Premier League 2011-2012 Competition. To those experiencing the Quake family for the first time, welcome.  And to those returning yet again, welcome back.

Firstly, and most importantly, Jeannette Donaghey (Gilligan) has stepped down (but dont worry she didn't get too far). JD, as she nows likes to be called, is still heavily involved but will gradually reduce her responsibilities to enjoy a well deserved break. Please take the time to seek out JD and thank her for a job well done. This Club would not be where it is without Jeannette's dedication. She will be a hard act to follow.

Financially the Club is in a secure position subject to budgetry revenue and expense considerations being realised. Due diligence, however, will be paramount to at least maintain the status quo; in laymans terms, please ensure all rego fees fees are paid before Round 1.

You will notice straight away changes have been made to the way we conduct ourselves.

Firstly, we now have a dedicated website owned and administered by us. This will be our main vehicle for providing all matters of information and advice.  So put it in your "favourites" for quick reference.

Secondly, we have a new (and growing) group of sponsors. For them to maintain (and hopefully increase) their relationship with us it is important to give these Businesses at least the opportunity to give you a price/quote on your needs. Who knows, you may be surprised. Make sure you mention Quake. Without Sponsors who are prepared to invest in our sport we would struggle to provide the level of cost benefits that are currently enjoyed.

Thirdly, its about time we started some long term planning and have created a "building fund" for the future establishment of our own Centre, and whilst this is still very much in its infancy, its a big step in the right direction.

I have also reviewed our playing kits and we have a mulitude of older style good condition strips plus new polos and socks, most of which will be available for sale at a very nominal cost once sorted.

This years polos are a locally produced sublimated design, and whilst our initial cost is a little more, the design is constant and can be repeated for years, for as many or few times as needed. The major benefit is you may not have to buy new polo's every year, subject to your childs wear/growth patterns. We are also returning to a plain white playing sock for similar reasons.  This will hopefully keep the the lid on at least some of your and our future costs.

Finally, in general terms our sport is experiencing incredible growth, becoming more and more professional at all levels, and as such we will need to restructure our club to cater for all new challenges the future will present us. Roles and responsibilities are evolving and the days of being able to run a successful amateur club with just a handful of dedicated volunteers are most definitely numbered.

As the Club restructures (which may take a couple of seasons) opportunities will avail themselves for you to become involved in various capacities with us. It can be as little as one hour per week so if you have some available spare time, or one of these roles appeals to you, please feel welcome to talk to us and become involved. We will use the Website to keep everyone informed of these roles as they are identified and quantified .

It certainly is a rewarding experience.
