About Us

Phoenix United Basketball Development Club Inc. became an incorporated club in September 2013, as there was a need identified to offer more girls and boys an opportunity to develop and enjoy their time playing basketball!

It was envisioned that teams playing under the Phoenix United banner would play locally in the Bendigo Basketball Association domestic competition, but would then also have the opportunity to go away and compete at different association tournaments across Victoria, and possibly even interstate!!

At Phoenix we aim to:

  • create an environment that will enhance the skill development of both girls and boys of all age groups and levels of ability
  • provide a club structure fostering mateship and family involvement
  • and to prolong the participant's time playing the sport we all love.

In addition to this, Phoenix United Basketball Development Club also hopes to contribute towards the strengthening and continued growth of the Bendigo Basketball Association Domestic Competition.

There are currently 8 teams competing in the Winter 2016 season:

  • One U12 Girls team
  • Two U14 Girls teams
  • Two U16 Girls teams
  • One U12 Boys team
  • One U14 Boys team
  • One U16 Boys team
