At the final siren scores were level on 42 points with an extra time period of 5 minutes played. The Generals team stood up to the intense pressure of this time on period with each player giving all that they had to win the match.

Sunday - Title Match

Bendigo Generals def Corio Bay South Geelong Kings

This match was well fort out, with the Generals boys pulling together to play a fantastic team game and having an easy victory (43 to 29). It was a great job by all the kids over the entire weekend.

Generals Under 14 girls went on to win back to back Club championships with an outstanding performance by all players.

The team, coached by Lex Tatnall and managed by Mary Jones was made up of Roey Johnstone Stephanie Strachan, Olivia Jones, Bek Skrinis, Chloe Watson, Carly Geary, Maddi Wild & Monica Wellington, were recently part of the representative Bendigo Braves team that competed at the National Basketball Championships in Canberra.

The girls went through undefeated  against Ballart Excies, Traralgon Wildcats, local Bendigo team Beavers, to meet Warragul Chalkies in the Semi Final. Winning the semi to go through to the Title Match, where they were convincing winners over Ballarat Excies, winning 43 - 22.

Bendigo Generals U/16 Girls team started the tournament against Mildura Irymple Tigers. The girls combined well early and were able to open up an early lead. With players being rotated off the beach, Generals were able to continually run the floor and came away with a comfortable win. Better players were Carly McRae, Yana Dellavedova, Kelsey Sartori, Lilly Walsh and Kerryn Harrington. Game 2 was against Traralgon St Michaels and with some consistent outside shooting Generals were able to have a good lead at half time. The second half continued with strong defence which created many fast breaks and easy points. Better players were Jenelle Foley, Erin Kelly, Ellie Fitch, Abbey Gilmore and Georgie Hyatt.

The team's quarter final was against Beavers from Bendigo. The game was a strong physical contest with both teams playing good basketball. After an even first half, Generals were able to gain a winning break and run the game out well. What was a very even team effort put the girls into the semi final.

In what turned out to be a highly skilled semi final against Shepparton Celtic, Generals were able to out run and out rebound the opposition in a free flowing game. With both side looking to score at every opportunity, it was Generals who were able to score consistently and run out comfortable winners with all girls playing well.

Generals' grand final opponent was Moe Swans. The game started at a frantic pace with many physical contest and both teams fouling heavily. With what appeared to be a stronger bench than the opposition, Generals were able to open an 11 point lead at half time. Moe's coach give her player some strong encouragement at half time and the Swans came out firing to take the lead by 5 points. Generals re-grouped, made some changes and were able to regain the lead by 5. However, the Swans came again and it was game on. The lead continued to change and with Generals controlling the ball and taking some well balanced shots were able to win a nail biter by 1 point. All girls contributed to what was a hard fought win.
