Training
Training is at Try Boys Sports Stadium (478 Ryrie Street Geelong - just past the Botanic Gardens) 4pm to 5pm on Sundays. For training your child will just need to wear comfortable clothes to run around in and bring a drink bottle. If you have a basketball bring that too, but we have some on hand as well (size 5 for U10’s and size 6 for U12’s).
Whilst we are focussed on helping each child become a better basketballer - our main goal is to ensure that everyone has fun and has the confidence to have a go.
Games
Games are at the Geelong Arena (110 Victoria Street North Geelong) and Try Boys Sports Stadium. The summer season starts in October (beginning of term 4) and continues through to April (end of Term 1, 2016)
The season fixture is available at basketballgeelong.com.au, however games in most instances are between these times;
- U10 Boys & Girls 9.30am – 12.00pm
- U12 Boys & Girls 12.00pm – 4.10pm
Cost
The cost of playing basketball is as follows;
- Sharks Basketball Club Fee (Annual – Oct to Sept): $80, club fees cover training facility costs, competition fees (team entry, fines, etc) and presentation day.
- Sharks Basketball Club Uniform (one-off): $70 (singlet + shorts), the uniform is then yours to keep.
- Basketball Geelong Registration (Annual League Fee – Oct to Sept): $55 covers insurance and league costs.

Basketball Geelong Match Fee (Paid at every game played): $8
