Legends prove to be golden Masters

A team comprising a number of YMCA legends from the past won a gold medal in the over 50s age group at the recent Australian Masters Games in Geelong.

Geoff Saunders, Greg Herbert, Bill Stewart and  Peter Robertson went through the tournament undefeated and defeated a strong outfit from Sydney in the final to win the gold medal.

One of our current coaches, Brett Amezdroz, also won gold in the over 45s at the Masters Games.

Well done, boys, and sorry for giving your ages away.

Speaking of legends, after retiring from Division 1, Adam Lamont is tackling the Great Ocean Road marathon.  Must be easier ways to fill in your time but the club wishes Adam good luck.
