How do I know if Training is on ? or
How do I know if the game this weekend is going ahead?
Games or Training at Wright Reserve – how is the decision made?
Blacktown Council Decisions
- Blacktown Council is the managing body for Wright Reserve, they decide if grounds are closed across the Blacktown Council area. When they close the grounds, the club contacts receive notification via an email.
- Blacktown Council also provides the latest information on Park Closures via its website at http://services.blacktown.nsw.gov.au/wetweather/ and its Wet Weather Information Line on 9839 6575.
- Once we are notified – we will endeavor to ensure that the club website and Facebook pages are updated.
Club Decisions
- Sometimes the grounds are open and then a storm may hit and the Club then decides if training or games proceed.
- These are harder decisions to make, especially when committee members live or work away from Quakers Hill.
- Again we will update the website etc. to keep you informed.
Holroyd - Gipps Road training
- Those players in the 2015 - Under 13 or Under 15 teams that attend training at Holroyd on Wednesdays will be added to a Holroyd contact list and you should receive advice from Holroyd.
- If possible we will also try and keep you informed via the Bombers website etc.
- Holroyd Wet Weather information line - http://www.holroyd.nsw.gov.au/your-facilities/sportsground-closures/
- Holroyd Council’s Ground Closure Information Line on 9294 1418
Game Day – away locations
- In the lead up to wet weekends, the Presidents start communicating amongst each other advising on
- status of grounds
- if the grounds are closed – the likelihood of them opening
- options for moving games to fields that are open
As soon as the committee knows, advice will be posted for members to access.
Please note that due to everyone’s work commitments text messages cannot always be answered, so please start by checking the Bombers’ or Blacktown Council’s websites, Facebook etc
