The Auskick children are really enjoying themselves, developing skills and just having fun doing it. The coaches have been very busy with the boys and girls showing them the basics of football, it is very reassuring to see the children out there kicking, hand balling and playing games to get them ready for future years with our club. These boys and girls are the lifeblood to our club and it’s great to see so many mums, dads and all supporters out there giving them encouragement.
The Under 10s, This is a non competitive competition and therefore there is no ladder, all teams playing the under 10s are learning the finer points of AFL and getting them ready for the 12s when they do play competition footy. The coaches, Simon and Michael are really proud of the team and the way they approach each game. They turn out each week with pride and are willing to do their very best in playing the game. Congratulations kids.
The Under 12s Whites, What a great season so far and are in 2nd position, undefeated, winning 5 out of 7 games, the other 2 games were forfeited by the opposing teams as they didn’t have enough players. There have been some really good wins but also a couple of close ones. Coaches, Scott and Dave have got this team really firing and playing each game with skill and determination. This team really enjoys their foot and it show on field when they play. Well done to the entire team, keep on listening and learning from your coaches and you will be there in the finals.
The Under 12 Reds, Well this team is a team of never give up players, so far this team isn’t going as bad as the competition table reads, yes they have had 1 win and 5 losses but that doesn’t reflect on how the team is playing, with a little bit more luck they could be sitting in about 4th position. Two of the losses have been by 10 and 2 respectively and the results could easily have gone the other way. The team has had its fair share of injuries and players being sick. Coach Tim has done a tremendous job with this team keeping them motivated and positive about each game and has also pointed out, with those by recovered now and new signings; the team should be very competitive during he second half of the season and hopefully make the playoffs.
The Under 14s, With 6 wins and 1 loss, this team is going places, all the way with more of what they are doing. Sitting 3rd on the table but only, for and against percentage separating the tope three teams. Coach Adam has this team on a strive to win formula, meaning he has the team excited about each and every game and they go onto the pitch in a winning frame of mind and it shows when they play. This team of players show every week that they deserve to be where they are by the way they perform. Adam has them eager to play even before they run out onto the field. Keep going 14s and you will be at the finals.

The Under 16s, Well this team is certainly firing on all cylinders with 7 wins out of 7 games and leading the competition. The team has been successful this year, due to listening to their coaches and utilizing the skills that they have learnt over their younger years playing the game. This team has formed a one in all in attitude and play as a team, not as a team of individuals. The coaching staff of Phil, Darren and Steve have these boys primed to play each match with a never give up attitude, even when they are in the lead by quite a few points they play as if they were 1 or 2 points between the teams. This showed a few weeks ago when they defeated the Razorbacks and came from behind to win the game because they never gave up and threw everything they had at the other team. Well done team and keep up the good work.
Once again, to all the teams and their respective coaches, you should all be proud of your achievements this year so far and the way you play the game.
Each and every team has shown real dedication to our club, not only when you’re playing the game but also with the amount of work you put in at training. You are a credit to the Penrith Swans and we, as your supporters and family are all proud of you and how you represent our club.
A big thank you goes to the parents for getting these boys and girls to training and the games each week, also to other family members and everyone else for your enthusiasm you show at the games, this really helps the players knowing that they have such great support. It is such a rewarding feeling to see our children enjoy playing the game they love so much and with the fully backing of their families and friends cheering them on.
