A big big thankyou to all the volunteers that assisted with the handover of the Greygums facilities on Saturday.
The day involved clearing & cleaning out the shipping containers, amenities building, canteen & surrounds, then transferring equipment, etc.
The new BBQ for the back oval was erected, new flag poles configured, locks changed and rubbish thrown out.
At the same time, a team of workers helped mow & line mark both ovals in preparation for the season. Many thanks to Darryl Young for the use of his ride-on-mower and Craig Lonard from Little Athletics, who plotted and marked our ovals for the first time using GPS wavepoints - gee did this save us some time - the amazing wonders of technology! How did we ever do it before??
Thanks too to Pizza Hut for keeping the hungry hungry hippos happy and the Penrith Swans for picking up the tab and providing refreshments for the thirsty crew.
Again, many thanks to all those who took up their valuable time to help - remember... that this was all for the kids.
