Based on League recommendations our Club will adhere to the following COVID related procedures:
1) All players must supply their own water bottle that is clearly marked with their name. Under no circumstances can players share water bottles. There will be no water carriers, players can rehydrate at quarter and half time with own water bottle, but must not share water bottles.
2) No team oranges or lollies to be supplied / shared, players can provide their own (no sharing between players)
3) Hand-shakes and high fives are not allowed, when singing the Club song close contact huddles are not allowed - social distancing of 1.5 metres applies.
4) Change rooms will be open at No. 1 however they are for the players to change and leave their bags only. No team addresses or warm ups / cool downs in the Change rooms and social distancing to be adhered to while in the rooms. Toilets and showers are closed in the change rooms, the external toilets will need to be used.
5) We have a ‘not closer than 10m’ rule for all spectators / parents. They can access the field however, are not to be closer than 10m from any player / player huddle, coaches or officials.
6) No 'spitting on the ground' rule for players.
7) As per training, on game day a list of all players, officials, coaches & volunteers will be submitted to the Club COVID Officer
Our aim is to have an understanding of:
1- SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL TIMES: 1.5m at all times, by all people (including players and coaches) unless actually playing the game.
2- NO LARGE GROUPS: Spectators ideally stay near their car or stand well away from others when watching the game and when dropping off or collecting their child. Their child comes to them and they don’t all stand in the one location waiting for their child.
There will be signs and ground markings to assist, and hopefully all this does not take any of your time on game day. The better we act now the more likely we are to get a full season in.
