NBJAFL Registration Policy
Please be advised of the following policy in regards to player registrations.
Due to the setup of the online registration system, it is not possible for the club to stop individual registrations for our teams. Additionally the regional AFL have put a cap on player numbers able to be registered for each age group. As such NBJAFL have developed a policy to deal with situations where teams reach maximum numbers as follows:
- All player registrations are assessed based upon time of receipt of registration. Once a team has reached maximum numbers, a list is created to track additional players (subsequent registrations or as expressions of interest) so that a second team can be created should numbers reach acceptable levels.
- Two (2) teams will be created in an age bracket when each team is able to field the specified Match numbers. (As defined by the Hunter Coast By Laws - varies in each age group)
- Other options may be available to play in a higher age bracket, with a unisex team (for girls), or in a joint venture team with another club.
- Please note that every effort will be made to accommodate your child in a team with the club. However, should team numbers and options not work out (or be acceptable), acceptance of registration may be denied by NBJAFL. (Note that should this occur, registration fees paid will be reimbursed in full.)
If you have any questions regarding this policy please feel free to contact a committee member to discuss or email us on nelsonbayjuniorafl@yahoo.com.au
