NEXT MEETING
The next general committee
meeting is scheduled for 6.30pm on Monday, 20th April, 2009 at the
Dapto Leagues Club. Ask at reception for
directions to the room we are designated upstairs.
We are asking that more parents
get involved in the Club and the decisions that are being made. We encourage everyone to attend our general
committee meetings, which are held approximately once a month.
HELPERS NEEDED!
We desperately need help to run
the Club and the teams. Parents and
caregivers can help out in many ways. Whether it be by washing jumpers, being a goal umpire for a game, helping
out at training or in the canteen, every bit of help is appreciated.
EMAIL ADDRESSES
Email is our preferred method of
communicating with parents, so if you have an email address, but haven't been
receiving emails, please see Melissa to update your details.
FUNDRAISING
We will be selling Freddo Frogs
and other chocolates as part of our fundraising. All proceeds of fundraising will go towards
new equipment for the club. Boxes of chocolates
will be coming home today. If you have
missed out on a box, but would like to help out, please see Melissa. The money is due back on the 29th April, 2009.
GALA DAY
Due to rain, the gala day was called
off. A group email was sent out advising
of this cancellation. If you did not
receive this email, please see Melissa to confirm that we have the correct
email address.
There is a proposed date of the
18th April, 2009 to have the Gala Day, but nothing is confirmed at
this point in time. Please keep an eye
on the website, www.daptoeagles.com to see if it is going ahead.
MOUTHGUARDS
Mouthguards are not compulsory,
however, we strongly recommend that players, other than Auskickers, use a
mouthguard. Please note that no body skins or gloves are to be
worn. Any player wearing body skins or
gloves will not be permitted to play.
TRAINING
For your child's safety, we have
a duty of care to ask that parents and caregivers remain at training, not drop
them off and return later to pick them up.
If something should happen to
your child, or if something unexpected should happen, such as change in the
weather, you need to be there for your child, as our coaches are not a child
care provider, and are not able to make decisions on behalf of you, as a parent
or caregiver.
We are in the process of trying
to secure a booking for a coffee van to come down on training days to serve our
parents while they wait for the kids.
AFL SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
The AFL are running a holiday
program on April 15 & 16 at Figtree Oval from 9am-2pm both days at $40 per
day. Registration can be made on the
website www.aflillawarra.com (follow the links) or to find out more call Stuart
Haack on 0417 884 373 email: stu.aflman@gmail.com
