The Auskickers and their parents got a sleep in this morning due to the bye, but the U9's had a good game on at 10am. Thanks to Peter and Tony for coming down especially to help set up the field. This was very appreciated.
At 9am the Northern Tiger's blacks played Southern Highlands U11. It was a close game with one end of the field assisted by a cold breeze.
By the start of the U9's game between the Eagles and Hawks the breeze had died down somewhat. With the eagles missing a couple of good players the Hawks played a dominant game. There was some good marking on display.
For the eagles Cooper Nicholson continued his great form by getting another best player, followed by Alec Steele and Xavier Pearce.
Thanks to the canteen ladies and Michael the chef de resistance for their excellent efforts over the last few weeks. The canteen has become the main source of income from the club, and it is only possible with the efforts of people who buy and prepare the food and drinks, come early to set up, and stay at the canteen all morning while the games are on. These people have missed out on watching their children play during home games, and this sacrifice is extremely appreciated by the club.
