In 1905 The Cam Football team was in existence, but in 1948 a change of name took place to then be known as the "Mooreville Road Football Club".
Mooreville Road Football Club continued on for many years creating history with many players and supporters during the times of 1948 to 1959.
In 1959, Somerset Football Club and Mooreville Road Football Club amalgamated, to be known as the Cam Football Club. Their home ground was based on Bread & Butter Hill (current soccer club grounds).
With history being made with premierships during this period, Cam Football Club continued on into the early 70's when another name change happened.
In 1973, Cam Football Club changed their name to the Somerset Football Club.
Somerset Football Club has continued on since 1973, with thier home ground being at Langley Park, Somerset.
