From 1953 to 1981 - clubs competed for the A E Pearce Shield and, from 1982 - competing for the Neil Wedd Shield.
The runners-up received the Les Clarke Shield from 1958 to 1982.

Ridgley and Mooreville Road joined from the disbanded Ridgley Association. Somerset had last played in the 1949 DFA.
