Well it looks like we're there now .... second division secured and a goo dfuture for the WATS.
Parkside did it to us though - it was mentioned that they were a real nuisance side to play because you just never know what they're going to do. A little like Sydney or North Melbourne, they'll give you a contest and look really exciting one week then play like "also rans" the next.
This week the Devils took it up to us until a little into the last quarter when the Watsy boys took control. Actually made for an exciting match and well done to Trev who rallied the troops and out coached the opposition.
Steve had the twos on from the start. Our Saints had a bit of a break in the second quarter but settled in the third to run away winners by 37 points.
Unfortunately the Under 19's couldn't manage a win, capitulating to the tune of 92 points. Encouraging though were the efforts of Pera Junior, Jess Barnett, Chris Elwell, Hooters, Elias and "Dicky" Di Carlo. Three of these guys were backmen and despite having the ball coming in like Exocet missiles, just never gave up driving the thing out again with Patriot defence.
