9am on a fresh Saturday morning, saw The Douglas Gibson Scoreboard begin its journey into the 'Electronic Ages'....
Thumping headaches (the aftermath of some people's friday night) was not going to dampen the eagerness of others to get the scoreboard installed.
All hands on deck was the call, after a brief 'this is what we are doing', work got underway.......
At one stage some may have said 'that there was too many chiefs and not enough indians..' but, in the style all have come to respect from the Watsonia Sporting Club, everyone stood together to achieve the aim of the day.....
The electronic scoreboard was installed, people held their breath in anticipation of the display switch being flicked......on it went and it was working, celebratory cheers could be heard from as far away as the pavillion..(or they may have been for the wicket in the cricket match).
Again thanks to all who gave up their Saturday to assist.
