The rollercoaster that is life is sometimes emulated or exacerbated by what happens at a footy club. Yet, if you sit back and look at what it offers, you thank God that you're a member of one.
When all else seems hopeless a familiar group of faces on a Tuesday or Thursday night allows us to forget the bad or amplify the good.
This is how I viewed my/our 8 days…..
Lows
- Some poor individual efforts against Greensborough
- Losing to Greensborough
- Sunday morning hangover
- Work stress
- Losing my son at the zoo the day after the gorilla incident overseas
- Work stress
- Member/supporter illness
- Lives lost
- Work stress
Highs
- Feeling like we can beat Greensborough.
- Fun function and night out after Greensborough game.
- Finding my kid at the zoo.
- Club legend turns 50.
- 250 milestone player being elevated to 2pm game.
- 1st gamer, family and friends take part in jumper presentation by club legend.
- WAGS having an entertaining Saturday afternoon.
- Planning for Macleod.
- Feeling like we can beat Macleod.
- Beating Macleod.
- High fiving my Dad and other supporters post game.
- Holding in tears of elation post game.
However your 8 days compares or intertwines with mine the reality is the rollercoaster will keep moving forward and lows or highs the anticipation of what lies ahead is worth getting onboard for.
