Vote Count 2012
This seasons vote counts for U/19, the premiership winning reserves side and the senior team will be conducted at J.E.Moore Park this Sunday.
1pm lunch to start and the votes will be read commencing around 2pm. Following the count the NRL Grand Final will be on the Big Screens.
The senior count will be a wide open race. Shaun Gannon, a dual winner already, will again poll well.
He goes into the count as one of the favourites with 1st year stars Luke Cotchett and Kris Bardon. Luke had an ultra consistent season and frequently figured in the sides best few players. He will receive votes all season long and would be a deserved winner. Kris, also a 1st year player at the club, had a superb season. He was recognized by the league with a position in the NFL Team of the Year and a top 5 finish in the League medal. His season got off to a blistering start and injuries later in the season probably stopped him being a runaway winner. He will be a likely leader come the half way mark and could quite easily have an unassailable lead.
Pece Micevski, Andrew Luzza and Matt Vasilevski all had great seasons and will figure prominently in the count which will go down to the wire.
The reserves may be a one man race. Chris Belbasis was sensational all year and will be a hot favourite to win. Shaun Barker, the league medal winner, should poll plenty of votes to push Chris all the way. J.Hiho is the other player who had a terrific season. He is very likely to finish in the top 2 with a tremendous finals series capping off a brilliant season.
The U/19 count will be tightly contested also. Perfetto will be the favourite but not without competition. Stoikos, Padula and Kahlil should poll well and make it an interesting affair.
We welcome everyone along and make final arrangements for the Presentation Night next weekend.
Enjoy the AFL this weekend and see you all at the club this Sunday for the 2012 vote count.
