Round 12 v Ressa.
Another challenge for our boy’s who thus far have stood up to all of their challenges. Every Club that ventures to Crisp Park knows they’re in for a tough game and this was not going to be any different as the reservoir boy’s were aiming to keep 4th spot on the ladder.
The breeze was blowing towards the score board as our boys managed to slot through 5 goals 5 points in that first quarter, Della was on fire early as to the new boy on the block Wilo. 2nd quarter and our players had assessed their opponents and the words from our coaches mouth was get going boy’s you all look slow, we had managed to let the Ressa boys kick 5 goals and we had kicked 3 ourselves and went to the half time break 5 points down. After copping a spray from Gaz the boys played better in patches in the 3 rd term and Della, Wilo and Whitts were stepping up and starting to drag the rest of the boys with them, Harra worked hard in the middle and combined with Matty M, Vito & DJ, at this stage we had lost Wardy for the rest of the game as it seemed a nothing quarter as our boys came into the huddle 1 point down. Gaz spoke about stepping up when all seemed lost, our players listened and seemed to took it on board, but in the first 15 minutes it didn’t look good, our boys started slow and Haggy was now out of the game which didn’t help with the rotations, but Della, Wilo & Whitts was still pushing on and they had managed to get Jinnette, Matty M, Trav & Vito on board, at this stage of the quarter our boys were 21 points down with 20 minutes gone, then our boy’s started in run & share the ball, as Shann ball slotted one on the run and then Trav got one which gave our boys a glimmer of self belief, so off they went lead by Della, Wilo , Whitts & Matty M the boys were storming home as Tails kicked the major to but our boys 7 points up and the ball headed back to the middle with 2 minutes to go, Matty M was keen to finish this on a winning note, the ball came out Ressa’s way and headed to their forward line were DJ & Jinnette where sitting and happy to chip the ball around with Kaneo until the final siren went as our boy’s STOLE the game away from Ressa.

U/19’s.
It seemed our young fellow’s started the theme of the day, start slow and try and work ourselves back in the game, well this was their down fall, assessing their opponents isn’t the way to go, what is pleasing they never give up and started to play good footy in the final quarter but it seemed a bit to late.
