It has come to light that the origin of Claytons' theme song, thought to previously be set to an "original, unknown" tune, may actually be based on the tune of the first verse to the 1971 North Melbourne Cheer Squad's war cry (below). This is currently unconfirmed, as no one has yet informed Clayton as to how the first verse of the 1971 North Melbourne Cheer Squad's war cry is actually sung in tune.
