A competitive first half saw the boys trailing by under 2 goals at the main break. Whilst we probably had the better of the TM's in general play, we were made to pay for our errors, whereas we had trouble converting our opportunities.
However the third quarter was a nightmare as the combine piled on 7 goals to 1 in the stanza. Our discipline was deplorable as we conceded 50m penalties whilst sooking to the umpire. Unfortunately the heads went down and we were beaten a long way from home.
Waata played a fine game across half back and the brothers Scott battled well through the midfield. Pat Ryan acquited himself well in the backline and Mark Charles battled hard in the forward line with limited opportunities.
Coach Steve Hughes has called for supporters to turn up in numbers this week as we take on Highett in what looms as an important battle.
The reserves made sure that the song was sung after a spirited win. Led superbly by coach Riley's 5 goals, the lads overcome a spirited challenge from the bad guys. Terrific to see 16 year old Jack Sketcher among the best players along with veterans Andrew Sharp, Danny Mckee and Andy Burnett
