We paid heavily for a first quarter in which nothing went our way. By the end of the quarter we had lost Chris McTaggart and Lance Baptist for the day, and found ourselves 5 goals behind.
To the enormous credit of the players left we rallied and got back into the game. We actually won the last three quarters but the damage was done.
The skipper was outstanding, well supported by Aidan Jolly Clinton Brooks, Craig Keenan and Brad Dight. Brodie Snow tied his hand up forward and produced three goals.
The reserves kept their top four chance alive, belting fellow finals aspirants Murrumbeena and producing a healthy percentage boost in the process. Paul Hill, Matty Devereaux and Vu Dog were among the best whilst Paul Riley, Amar (4 goals) and Monas (3) hit the scoreboard.
