Sunday the 8th September will go down in club history as the first time that both the Seniors and Reserves won the premiership in SFNL division 3.
The reserves were first up at mid day and the weather conditions were promising with forecast rain yet to fall. The boys got away to a good start kicking the first goal after 7 minutes of play as both teams tested each other out. Three more goals quickly followed and at quarter time we led 4.2 26 to 1.3.9.
Endeavour Hills kicked the first goal of the second quarter after 3 minutes then after 10 minutes of tight struggle we managed to kick the last 2 goals of the quarter to extend our lead to 22 points at the main change.
The third quarter was a tight affair with neither team being able to gain an ascendancy. We managed to kick the only goal of the quarter to slightly increase our margin to 26 points at the final change with scores 7.6.48 to 2.10.22

The Seniors were next up and the weather conditions had deteriorated further with steady rain falling as the game commenced. Some pundits believed the poor conditions would favour Clayton.
In a stunning start to the game we kicked the first goal within about 30 secs of the start of play courtesy of some excellent work by Cam Williamson. Clayton answered 3 minutes later and match was tightly poised. We were looking more likely to score but could not find the big sticks, then as the quater progessed we were able to kick two furhter goals to Aaron Holden & Peter Dye to lead 3.6.24 to 1.1.7.
The second quarter commenced and weather had not improved with rain still falling making conditions quite wet and clean ball handling difficult. We were able to kick the only 3 goals of the quarter to extend our lead with scores at half time being 6.6.42 to 1.3.9
The boys down in defence were not letting any attack by Clayton get through and restricted Clayton to 2 pts for the quarter whilst we kicked a further 2 goals to extend lead at 3/4 time with score being 8.8.56 to 1.5.11.
The final quarter only the one goal was scored at the 4 minute mark whilst the defence kept Clayton scoreless for the quarter to see the final margin being a 54 point victory with final score 9.11.65 to 1.5.11.
