A new era has begun at the Bundoora Junior Football Club following a year in recess.
The club unveiled a brand-new committee for 2024 – led by incoming President Andy Copley - as the club looks to capitalise on a successful Auskick campaign in recent seasons.
“We have a great mix of old and new on the committee,” Copley announced.
“There’s a couple of us who have been involved with this club for a long time in coaching roles, such as myself and Matty James.
“We have a past player in Riley Wills, whose younger brothers are involved in our Auskick program.
“And we have some very savvy and enthusiastic Auskick parents in Paulie Opie, Brayden Ansell and Scott Cogley.”
Copley said club legend Geoff Wills is also part of the executive.
“Geoff is in his late eighties and he just loves the club and he offers a lot of experience and knowledge.
"We love having him around,” Copley added.
“This entire group is extremely motivated about getting our club up and going again.”
“Our mantra is ‘a fair go for all’, and local families will see and appreciate that over the coming years as we build a really strong culture of inclusiveness.”
Bundoora JFC will again run its popular Auskick program in 2024, while introducing an Under 8s side and perhaps even an Under 11s team as well.
