2.6. Stress safety at all times
2.7. Consider maturity levels and devise training programmes to suit all
2.8. Develop team respect for opponents, umpires and coaches
2.9. Recognise the importance of proper injury treatment
2.10. Keep up to date with coaching developments
2.11. Obtain coaching accreditation
2.12. Avoid derogatory language based on gender or race
2.13. Do not tolerate bullying in any form
3. PARENTS
3.1. Encourage participation, do not force it
3.2. Teach that honest effort is the victory, not winning
3.3. Encourage playing by the rules
3.4. Never ridicule mistakes or losses
3.5. Remember that involvement is for the children’s benefit, not yours
3.6. Remember that children learn best by example; applaud both teams
3.7. Recognise the contribution of voluntary officials
3.8. Never publicly disagree with officials; raise any issues privately
3.9. Support all efforts to eliminate verbal, racial and physical abuse
3.10. Support your Club officials to foster high standards of behaviour for you Club and your League
