MANDATORY & ENFORCEABLE
CODES OF BEHAVIOUR/CONDUCT
- Play by the rules of this club & League and the laws of the game.
- Never argue with an Umpire or other Official, if you have an issue ask your Coach or Team Manager to approach the Official during a break or after the game. Understand that without Umpires & Officials, you can not play football.
- Control your temper. Verbal abuse of Officials, sledging other players or deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent is not acceptable behaviour in any sport and doesn’t help you enjoy or win any games.
- Be a Team Player – It’s a team game. Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will you.
- Be a good sport. Appreciate all good plays whether they are made by your team or opposition.
- Treat all players as you like to be treated – fairly. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor.
- Co-operate with your Coach, Team mates, Officials and opponents. Without them, there would be no competition.
- Participate for you own enjoyment, benefit and skill improvement, not just to please your parents or Coach.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
- Don’t use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability – you’ll let down your Club, Coach, Team mates and family if you do & many such comments are actually illegal.
- Respect & look after all club property and facilities. Do not mistreat, damage or vandalize.
- Understand that, if a breach of the Clubs Code of Conduct occurs, disciplinary action may be applied. Disciplinary action may include, but is not limited to, warnings, suspensions and/or banning of players, parents/guardians and/or spectators and is separate from any other penalty that may or may not be applied by the league or Police for the same incident.
NB: Any player who is found guilty of reportable offence and receives a League or an Interclub suspension in any home and away match will be ineligible to receive a Club Best & Fairest Award.
