Keith Callow
Keith was involved with St. Mary's Football Club before coming to Hampton Park in 1973. In 1976, when the Senior and Junior Committes seperated, he was involved with both, but his main love was Junior Football. He followed his sons, Richard and Craig, through their football careers. Richard made his way to senior level and Craig to the Under 13's.
In 1976 and 1977, he was coach of the Under 13's and in 1978 coached the Under 10's. Apart from his coaching duties, he also found time to hold office as Senior Chairman of Selectors, be League Delegate and Recruiting Officer for the Seniors and Juniors, bringing boys from the Dandenong Junior League to play for Hampton Park.
In February 1978, Keith fell ill and died of cancer in August of the same year. He was a quiet man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened.
The Junior Committee named this perpetual award, The Keith Callow Award, in recognition of his hard work and dedication to the club and junior football.
