The amount of enthusiasm shown by players at training has been evident to the coaching, fitness and training staff who attend training each Monday and Wednesday night with nearly 30 players attending each session in an effort to secure spots on the paddock in round 1.
With 6 weeks until the first bounce of the season, a first round rematch against last years grand finalists South Toowoomba, 60% of players who have have attended training have attended more than 50% of the total sessions which indicates that the stringent fitness, strength and skill goals set by the 2010 club coaches will be met by first round as the Roos aim to be the best prepared group of footballers in the competition.
Players, both new and old, have had fitness tests such as 30 metre sprints and one kilometre runs recorded which will be used to measure improvement in fitness and speed over the coming weeks in the run down to the start of the clubs defence of its 2009 premiership.
