FOOTBALL IN THE SUNSHINE
How would you like to play footy in a place where it’s sunny and dry all season long?
Maybe the lifestyle of North Queensland, relaxed, friendly, and affordable is what your looking for.
The South Cairns Cutters are currently looking for players for this season and beyond. The South Cairns Australian Football & Sporting Club fields teams in all age groups in the AFL Cairns competition. Under 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17.5, Reserves and Senior grades.
The senior grades generally play on Saturdays, with some Friday night games and an Anzac Day rivalry game against the North Cairns Tigers. We currently have members from all walks of life and from all over Australia. Maybe even someone from your home town. We are a proud club with a fighting spirit that other teams fear.
Cairns itself is situated in tropical North Queensland with a population of about 130,000 people.
Our league currently boast the title of being the strongest competition with the best facilities north of Brisbane. We also host a game of AFL football every year between an AFL Team and the Gold Coast Suns. Along with this we have a team in the National Basketball League, the Cairns Taipans.
Most importantly is the climate. Cairns have without a doubt the best winter climate in Australia that attracts holiday makers from all over Australia and indeed the world. Attractions such as the Great Barrier Reef and the Rainforest are key ingredients to a vibrant City. Back Packers flock to the City to enjoy the night life and the Cairns lagoon. The average temperature in winter is 18 – 26.
Sunshine, blue skies, palm trees and lifestyle. Tempting isn’t it?
So the next thing to do is check out more about our wonderful City by Googling “Cairns”. Then give us a call and we can help you with the best decision you will ever make. A ” lifestyle” decision.
